Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 16, 2026
Repaired is not a medical or therapy service. Some of what you share with us can still reveal something about your mental or emotional health, so we treat it as consumer health data under Washington’s My Health My Data Act and similar state laws. This policy applies to everyone who uses Repaired, wherever they live. Our general Privacy Policy covers everything else.
What we collect
- What you write in a repair, a solo reflection, or a check-in, including the feelings and needs you choose and any notes.
- Your answers and results in Know Yourself (for example attachment, conflict style, triggers, needs, and values) and in Grow.
- Patterns we derive from those answers to show you insights, including AI summaries and trends if you use Repaired Plus.
We do not collect your answers to the safety questions asked before a repair. They stay in your browser and are never sent to us or stored. If any answer is yes, Repaired shows you its safety resources page instead of starting the repair; that page visit is recorded like any other page visit, without your answers.
Why we collect it
Only to provide what you ask for: the repair you start or join, the results you choose to see, and the insights shown to you. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to make decisions about you outside the app.
Where it comes from
From you, and from the other person in a repair when they choose to share their side with you.
Who receives it
- The other person in a repair: only the parts you choose to submit or share with them.
- Amazon Web Services: stores and processes it for us, encrypted at rest and in transit.
- Anthropic, through Amazon Bedrock: only when a Repaired Plus member uses an AI feature, and only the text needed for that request. It is not retained by Anthropic or used to train its models.
We do not sell consumer health data. Crash reports and website analytics do not include it.
Your rights
- Access: confirm whether we hold your consumer health data, get a copy, and get the list of everyone we have shared it with and how to contact them. You can download your data yourself from your Profile.
- Delete: delete your account and this data from your Profile, or ask us to. See how deletion works.
- Withdraw consent: stop any use of your data that relies on your consent, by deleting the data or your account, or by asking us.
- Appeal: if we decline a request, you can ask us to reconsider. If we still decline, we will tell you how to contact your state attorney general.
Email privacy@repairedapp.com from the address on your account. We respond within 45 days, and if we need more time, we will tell you why within that period.
Deletion and backups
When you delete, your data is removed from our live systems at once. Our database backups are encrypted and kept for up to 35 days. Deleted data is never restored from a backup, and it is permanently erased when the backup expires.
Changes
If we change how we handle consumer health data, we will update this page and tell you before the change takes effect. We will ask for your consent before using it for any new purpose.
