Repaired

How Repaired Compares

A lot of apps live in this space and they solve different problems. Here is where Repaired fits, where it doesn't, and when something else is the right choice.

What Repaired does differently

Most relationship apps are designed for one person to use, or for two people to use side-by-side. Repaired is different: both people go through the same steps, in the same order, privately, and nothing is shared until each person submits.

That structure matters. When one person is still processing what happened and the other is already defending themselves, real-time conversation tends to go badly. Repaired creates enough space for both people to work through their own perspective before anything is exchanged.

Repaired is built so that:

  • ✓Both users follow the same structured steps in the same order
  • ✓Nothing is shared until each person explicitly submits
  • ✓Works for any two people (not just couples)
  • ✓Core repair flow is free

Repaired vs. Conversation Prompts

Gottman Card Decks, Headspace (relationship content)

Use Gottman Card Decks or similar tools when both people are ready to sit down and do an exercise together. They're excellent in that context.

Use Repaired when

Use Repaired when the conflict is too fresh for a joint exercise, when you need each person to work through their own perspective privately first.

When to use which

Two people had a conflict and want to work through it

Repaired

Structured bilateral protocol, private, async, free.

One person wants to work through it but the other won't (yet)

Solo repair walks your side of it on your own; invite them if and when they are ready. For ongoing one-sided coaching, BetterHelp or Relationship Hero.

Couple wants to stay connected and maintain the relationship

Lasting, Paired

Repaired is for repair after conflict, not ongoing maintenance.

Clinical distress, trauma, or mental health needs are involved

BetterHelp, Ours

Repaired is not therapy. Licensed clinical care is required here.

Both people are calm and want to do an exercise together right now

Gottman Card Decks

In-room exercises are better than an async protocol when both people are ready.

Need a human coach for accountability and personalized advice

Relish, Relationship Hero

Repaired has no coach. If human guidance is needed, use a coaching product.

What Repaired is not

  • Not therapy. Repaired does not involve a licensed clinician. It is a structured protocol, not clinical care.
  • Not for every conflict. Repaired is not appropriate when abuse, coercion, or clinical mental health needs are involved.
  • Not a substitute for professional help. If you or the other person needs clinical support, use it. Repaired is not a workaround for real care.
  • Not a guarantee. Repaired provides a process. What people do with it is up to them.
